"I've been exploring using a computer as a "virtual" instrument for about a
year. Input is solely from the computer keyboard (no MIDI or any other
external device) and out-put is through a Roland SCC-1 GS card and
Musicator software. Now I'm interested in starting up a "virtual" Net Band.
The idea is: members with computer music-making ability who can save in
midi and/or mct would nominate an instrument - ie, become the "bass"
player, "drummer," "rhythm guitarist," etc - and create their lines on a
master file which might have a drum and base line, for example, as the
starting point. Everything would be done on the computer without midi or
other input. I don't know what we'd do with the results - post them on the
Net, perhaps, or try to do a CyberSounds CD. Who knows?
Using this process, I've composed and recorded around 30 pieces
ranging in style from MOR- and Latin-type jazz through heavy rock and House
music to some fairly far-out head-space items.
	Thanks a lot and cheers!

I wasn't exactly swamped by replies and now I'm wondering if I might be
able to find potential collaborators through Piet's excellent site. Here
are four samples - Cuba, Easy-ove, Sliding and Sweet15. I'd be glad to hear
from you whether you're interested in working with me or not.

Thanks! Jon
